Maria Lyda Mraz

Marie Lyda Mraz, born in Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2014 in Modesto, California.  She was 99.  In 1935 Marie married Edward Mraz in Ohio, and ten years later they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. After retirement, they decided to live in Yreka, California where Marie stayed until she moved to Modesto to be close to family in 2001. Marie and Edward had one child, David Mraz. Marie is survived by her son David and grandchildren Serena, David, Christopher, and Deidre; she was predeceased by her husband, Edward.  A unique soul, Marie will be remembered for her sense of humor and love for animals.  She will be greatly missed.
