Yvonne Tin Chan

October 25, 1933 to March 15, 2024

Yvonne Chan passed away peacefully at the age of 90, surrounded by her beloved husband, Cain, and devoted daughter, Andrea.

Yvonne was born in China, and she called Hong Kong home until 1970.  She, Cain, and Andrea moved to San Francisco for one year, then settled in Modesto for the next 52 years.

Yvonne and Cain shared a passion for travelling, and they visited every continent, even Antarctica!  Their most recent adventure was a celebratory cruise in October 2023, commemorating their 90th and 95th birthdays.

In recent years, Yvonne faced health challenges, but she was buoyed by the unwavering support of her dear friends, especially the Yong’s, Yang’s, and To’s of Modesto. Their compassion sustained her during difficult times.

Mom, Dad and I hope you’ve found peace, and we love you very much.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, from 2-5pm, at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home in Modesto.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation (www.tzuchi.us), the American Heart Association (heart.org) or a charity close to your heart.
