Vickie Jean Myers Trent

Beloved Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Aunt.

Vickie was born in Modesto, California, to Vernon and Beverly Myers, raised in Denair, lived in Modesto and later returning to Denair, California.  She graduated from Denair High School.  At the age of 24, Vickie gave birth to her only child Brittnie. She worked for Sammons/Charter Communications for 24 years ending her work career at Amazon while living a fulfilling life.  Vickie’s contagious personality was a legacy all in itself.  She could light up a room and make friends with anyone.  She left her mark on the world with her strong work ethic, loyalty, big heart, smiles, laughter, honesty, straight talk, and at times mischievous adventures.

She is survived by her greatly beloved daughter Brittnie Trent, her love for her parents Vernon and Beverly Myers, her deeply fun and respected grandmother Josephine Moore, her only brother Hurshel Myers and sister-in-law Tina Gresio, two nephews Billy Myers and Blake Myers.  She also leaves behind two aunts, Betty Taylor and Maretta Moore, an Uncle Frank Taylor and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Emma and Hurshel Myers, her maternal grandfather Robert Moore, her maternal twin uncles, Harold and Howard Moore, two paternal aunts, Imogene and Pat.

Franklin and Downs Funeral Home is honored to serve the Trent Family.  A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5pm – 8pm at Franklin and Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 12pm at Lakewood Memorial Park, 901 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of the Brethren, 5101 Yosemite Blvd, Modesto, CA immediately following the graveside service.  Family asks donations to be made in Vickie’s honor to a children’s hospital of your choice.
