Tolosa Lou Moore

Born July 15, 1917, in Paden, OK, long-time Midpines, CA resident Tolosa Lou Moore was 104 years old when she passed on September 29, 2021

At 16 Tolosa was honored as runner up for Miss Colorado Springs. Her first marriage was to one of the beauty pageant’s judges, Charles Cimino of Colorado Springs. After World War II, she married her second husband, Chester H. Moore, Jr., of Pittsburgh, PA. They moved to Whittier CA where they raised their family.  In 1979 they retired to Midpines CA and enjoyed retired life in the Sierra foothills.  Tolosa loved to bake, can jams, sew and garden.

Tolosa is survived by her daughter, Tolosa Boxx of Ventura, CA; son Chester Moore, III, and his wife Mary Jo of Peachtree Corners, GA; and son Steven Moore and his wife Darla Jean of Midpines. She is survived by six grandchildren: Eric Boxx, Debra Boxx Walters, Natalie Moore, Leanne Moore Finn, Steven Moore, Jr, Cody Moore and great grandchildren Braden and Emma Moore.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Chester.

A private burial will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier CA.
