Sammy Steven Beets

Sammy S. Beets (Steve) passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67 at his home in Ceres on August 21, 2019.  Steve was born July 19, 1952 in Modesto to Sammie and Barbara Beets, their first born.

Steve is survived by his parents Sam and Barbara Beets of Ceres.  His Children Mike Beets of Seaside and Sam Beets of Ceres.  His Siblings Cheryl Beets of Tulare, Greg Beets of Ceres and Sandy Beets of Ceres. Steve leaves behind four grandchildren Avery Beets and Haidyn Beets of Hughson, Quinlin Beets and Liam Beets of Seaside.

Steve graduated from Ceres High in 1970.  Shortly after he started his family of two boys.  Steve’s first career was laying cement foundations, which he enjoyed and continued for many years.  Steve later pursued a career in the communications industry, which he loved and was very good at, until he retired.

Steve always had a passion for dogs and horses and enjoyed the outdoors.  In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, horseback riding and Friday night poker games with his buddies.

Steve was always a very social person.  He loved hanging out with his friends and of course the ladies.  Steve was a simple uncomplicated man and was never into materialistic things.  The bare necessities was all he needed.

The last few years of Steve’s life he liked to keep to himself, but never forgot his family and friends.  Steve was a caring man and showed kindness to everyone he met.

Steve was a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother and a friend and he will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by all who knew him.  His memory will live forever in our hearts.

A celebration of life in honor of Steve will be held on Sept 21, 2019 at 11:00 3435 Blaker Rd. Ceres.
