Robert Dean Schauer
October 21, 1994 – July 25, 2018

 Robert Dean Schauer, or “Bobby” to all who knew him, left us unexpectedly on July 25, 2018. He was born in Modesto, CA to his parents Shannon and Tamara. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Doris Stambaugh, great grandparents Robert and Kathleen Schauer, grandfathers Fred Shaffer and James Shannon, grandmother Sharon Shaffer and most recently, his father Shannon Schauer. He leaves behind his mother Tamara Shannon, his brothers Jeremy, Cody, and Nathan (Alicia) and his sisters Julia and Jadyn, all of Modesto. He also left behind his grandparents Robert and Patty Schauer of Texas and Cathy Shaffer of Salida. He will be dearly missed by his nieces Kaydence, Everly and nephew Jrake, all of Modesto. There are many, many cousins who will forever miss him. There are countless family members and friends who were close to him and will forever hold him in their heart. He had a special bond with the men in his life; his uncle and best friend Steven Shaffer as well as Michael O’Beirne and Christopher Todd and their families. He left behind many aunts and uncles, Christy Ray (David) of Modesto,  Angel Jaksch of Waterford, Marny Shaffer  and Leya Shaffer, both of Jackson, CA,  Kenneth Jaksch of Black Canyon City, AZ, David Shaffer of Riverside, CA, Richard Jaksch of Waterford  and Justin Shannon of Reynoldsburg, OH.
Bobby grew up playing baseball starting with T-ball at Rose Avenue to MMC Championship at Downey High School. After high school, Bobby continued doing what he loved and played travel ball all over the United States. Bobby went on to play for Pierce College in Woodland Hills. After the sudden loss of his dad, Bobby sought comfort taking long rides on his dad’s Harley.
Bobby did not just make friends. If you were his friend, you were his “brother”.
He loved to be spontaneous and trips to the ocean or the mountains were not uncommon. He is going to be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Please join his family after the service to celebrate his life.
Franklin and Downs is honored to be serving the Schauer family, Bobby’s services are being held Saturday August 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at One Church, 2361 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA 95355.
