Tribute

Reila was born in Upper Capital, in the Parish of St. Andrew, in the country of Grenada, to Patrick and Adriana Christopher. She was the last sister from a family of seven.

She got her earlier education at the Birch Gove R.C. School, after which she attended the Perseverance School of Stenography, then attended the Grenada National College.

Reila gained several certificates and joined the Grenada Nursing Service, but being the enthusiastic person she was, she opted out of Nursing for a more dynamic career --The Television service -  where she became a Camera Personnel. She was then transferred to the greater Media - Radio Free Grenada, where she traversed through the various departments and remained until her passing as a Sales Representative.

Some of her early years were spent with her grandmother, where she appreciated a true sense of God and the Catholic Faith. Living with Granny was all about honoring and praising God.

Reila, popularly known as Aunty Reila, was very stately and had a terrific personality, well mannered, and very sociable.  She was generous and assisted many. She was a woman of great strength, and always looked at the brighter side of life. She was a peacemaker, and when conflict arose she always looked at both points of view. She was a single parent but took the role of both parents.

Her Philosophies were to never give up and to put your trust in God.

Reila loved dancing. She was a member of the Birch Grove Folk and Dance group, where she danced her way to Trinidad and Guyana. She also owned a small restaurant in the city of St. George at a point in time.

She was the mother of Kimon Christopher in California, adopted mother of Dickson Mitchell at Law in Grenada, and grandmother of Kimoni Christopher.

Sister of Lunsford, Benjamin, Alfred, Angela, and Delores.

Aunt of Maureen, Doreen, Edrich, Corrie, Karim, Dr. Nicole Boca, Dr. Coretta Gittens, Cornelia, Odinga, Erlene, Portia, Junior, Kim, and Petrina.
