Rayna Anjanette Ruiz

Rayna Anjanette Ruiz passed away at her home and was received by the Lord Jesus Christ on August 24, 2019 at the age of 37 years, 9 months and 3 days. She was born on November 21, 1981 in San Jose, CA to Raymond Ruiz Jr. and Minerva Galvez. Rayna was the youngest of three children.

Rayna is survived by her father, Raymond Ruiz, Jr., sisters; Andrea Navarro and Yvette Ruiz; four nieces and three nephews; grandparents, Lois Barrera and Raymond Ruiz Sr.

Rayna is preceded in death by her mother, Minerva Galvez; grandmother, Aileen Ruiz, and grandfather Raul Barrera.

Rayna was a person of many accomplishments. She was a graduate of Modesto High, California State University - San Bernidino, (2000-2010) where she obtained her Master’s degree in Public Health and was a member of Delta Sigma Chi Fraternity. She also graduated from California State University – Stanislaus (2015-2017) with a Master’s degree in Social Work.

Rayna had various career positions which included; Planned Parenthood, Community Engagement Specialist, Golden Valley Health Center Crisis Response Specialist, Social Worker for Stanislaus County and she volunteered for Hospice.

Rayna enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved cooking and hiking. She competed in numerous 5K and Spartan Races. She loved spending time with friends and family. When it came to living life to the fullest, Rayna had no boundaries. She will truly be missed.

Franklin & Downs Ceres Chapel is honored to serve Rayna’s family. Services information: Visitation on Thursday, September 12, 2019 starting at 4PM with recitation of the Rosary at 6PM: Franklin & Downs 2561 5th Street Ceres, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 709 J Street Modesto, CA.
