Message from Alma Torres

These times are always the most difficult, but with all sincerity I wish my Tio’s family condolences. He was a good person who did his best for his kids, he always gave amazing advice and looked out for everyone. I’m sure that the life he lived was a full one, full of joy and blessings because he did his best to give to others and never let them feel alone. If my Tio ever felt sad he never really let the world see it. He would always have a fun joke for us to all enjoy, or ice cream in the summers, a place at the table for the holidays. Tio was a family man through and through, he looked out for all of us. For this I’ll always be grateful.
Grateful for taking me and my sister with him and my cousin to see movies at the drive in, grateful for showing up to our birthdays and bringing the piñatas, the fireworks in July. He did great things for his kids and pushed them to do better for themselves. There’s no doubt in my mind he lived a complete life filled with love, kindness and generosity. I see it in my cousins faces, I feel it when we laugh, Tio’s presence will always be there, and nothing will change that. I’m a better person for knowing him. I’m thankful for that. I pray for his safe travels in the next life, we may part for now but we’re family and that’s forever. The goodness he left behind is forever. My heart and prayers go out to all of us here, may your memory of Tio be a great one. My condolences to all.
