Tribute

In Honor of
Perlita Mascardo Feraro

Perlita “Perly” Mascardo Feraro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8th in Modesto. She was born January 1, 1956 in Muntinlupa, Philippines to parents, Onofre and Maria Mascardo, and has been a resident of Stockton for 28 years. Perlita cared for her family with the utmost warmth and love, and enjoyed Filipino dramas, cooking, and was a majorette.

Our dear wife, mother, lola, friend, and child of God is remembered as the most caring, sweet, selfless, beautiful, cute, strong, and tough person we’ve ever known. When you say “hero,” she was our definition of one.  For her kids, she would give everything and the world even if she had nothing – that’s how special of a mother she truly was. Her cute smile and simple sense of humor always brought joy to everyone’s heart. She was incredibly strong willed and persistent. Through the decades of fighting lupus – she beat it! Against all odds with COVID – she beat that, too! She’s a fighter, a warrior and the toughest cookie you could have ever met. Little, but fierce; small, but terrible – never underestimate her faith in God. She was truly the gift of an angel on earth. Now she’s called back home because God knows how powerful her spirit is. She’s right beside him in paradise, and is watching over us with that cute, little smile we love so dearly.

Perlita is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rustico Mascardo, Angelito Mascardo, Bayani Mascardo, and Benjamin Mascardo. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Romy Gauyan Feraro of Stockton; children, Rozelyne Amodo of French Camp,  Romalynn Feraro of Tracy, Rhom Dale Feraro of Modesto, and Romy Julius Feraro of Stockton; grandchildren, Ezra and Enzo Amodo of French Camp; and siblings, Teofista Formes, Maximino Mascardo, Celerina Mascardo, Ginamarie Libay, and Roderick Mascardo all of the Philippines.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 14th starting at 9:30 a.m. until a Celebration of Perlita’s Life at 11:00 a.m., at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave, Modesto.
