Patsy J. Smith

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, Patsy J. Smith, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15th in Hughson, California; she was 87. Patsy was born August 28, 1932 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, Henry and Opal Bowen and has been a resident of Stanislaus County since 1968. She worked briefly as a beautician before becoming an insurance agent with State Farm for 35 years.

Patsy touched countless lives through her deep faith and as a Bible teacher at local Ceres churches. She is remembered as a Godly woman who always found resolve in the Lord.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Opal Bowen, her beloved husband, Bob Smith, their sons, Larry and Brian Smith, and her brothers, Bob and Donny Bowen. She is survived by her loving children, Philip Smith and Michele Smith-Crane; grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Chad Smith, Jaymes Smith, Ryan Smith, Jeff Wright, and Cynthia Robinson; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Peek, and a host of family and friends to whom she was “Nana.”
