Orrian Keith Tallcott, known to all that knew him as Keith, passed away suddenly at the age of 68 while doing what he loved, traveling cross country with his wife of 47 years.
He is survived by his mother: Lucile; his wife: Susan; his 3 children: Amy Vota and husband Paul, Christie Coffin and husband Demetri, and David Tallcott and wife Celina; his 7 grandchildren: Peyton, Dylan, Kayla, Sydney, Madeline, Violet, and Stella; brother: Richard Tallcott; sisters: Barbara Cooper, Stormy Wilson, and Theresa Flores; and a large extended circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born September 24, 1949 in Galesburg, IL, Keith was the third of five children born to Orrian and Lucille Tallcott. He spent his early years living in multiple towns throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest before moving to Gustine, CA in 1963. He graduated from Gustine High School in 1967 and served his country as a member of the Army. Upon returning from Vietnam, Keith and his wife Susan made Modesto their home where they have resided for the past 46 years together. During that time, they raised 3 lovely children, Amy, Christie, and David, and lived countless adventures together.
Keith spent over 25 years at Foster Farms Dairy, where he retired in 2005. Never one to sit still, he then pursued a post-retirement job at CRA, where he worked for another 6 years. Upon retiring he spent much of his time working on his farm and making memories with his friends and family in California and across the country. Keith had a passion for life that was demonstrated through an array of creative hobbies; from farming to building his beloved Rat Rod. Keith was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
