Nick Fedle Resso

June 2, 1939 ~ April 2, 2024 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Nick was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest son of Tobio and Laura Resso. In 1949, Nick’s family moved to Salida, California. Nick worked on the family farm and attended Salida Elementary School. After graduating from Modesto High School in 1957, Nick joined the Air Force and attended boot camp in San Antonio, Texas. Nick returned to Salida and attended Modesto Junior College, studying electronics. He worked as an electronics technician for Asbill’s for 2 years and Montgomery Wards for another 22 years, repairing TVs, stereos, and other electronics.

Nick met the love of his life, Mary, at a wedding in 1961. They were married in June 1965 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto. Nick and Mary enjoyed more than 58 wonderful years together and raised three incredible children. Nick and Mary spent many years traveling, camping, and cruising with family and friends and playing cards and slots. Nick’s greatest joy was being with family and friends, especially his granddaughters. He was the perfect husband, father, and grandfather.

Nick is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Michael and Frank Resso. In addition to his wife, Mary, and his children, John Resso (Kim), Frank Resso (Kyndra), and Susan Sanders (Chris), Nick leaves behind nine granddaughters, Elaine Neumann (Jeremy), Clarice Resso (Guilherme), Katherine Resso, Jillian Resso, Keely Resso, Claudia Resso, Julia Resso, Sophia Sanders, and Gabriella Sanders, sister-in-law, Roselyn Imbesi, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly. Nick will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

The family wishes to thank Dale Commons staff and its caregivers, dining room servers, and kitchen staff and Lifeguard Hospice and its nurses and caregivers for their care, love, and support for Nick and Mary over the past two years, and especially, the last six months. And a special thanks to Nick and Mary’s guardian “Angel” who has been there to help whenever and however needed.
