Nadine Marie Chacon

Nadine Marie Chacon passed away on January 7, 2019 at the age of 78.  She was born on November 29, 1940 in San Leandro, CA to parents, Ernest Catone and Adeline Fernandez Catone Pereira who have both preceded her in death.  Nadine is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Pete Chacon; son, Kevin Chacon of Modesto, CA; brother, Ernest Catone.  She is survived by children, Vicki Laganowsky of Discovery Bay, CA, Peter Chacon of Milton, GA, Lisa Eastman of Murphys, CA; siblings Suzanne Stefani of Danville, CA and Dick Catone of San Leandro, CA; grandchildren Arthur Laganowsky, Michael Laganowsky, Peter M. Chacon, Vanessa Chacon, Phillip Chacon, Kristen Taylor, Nicole Mason, Christopher Varela and Eric Varela; 14 great-grandchildren.

Nadine was a beautiful person; she was a devoted Catholic who spent her time in service to others in need. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Parish and at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Nadine dearly loved her husband Pete Chacon; they had an amazing marriage of 56 years. She cared for Pete deeply and took care of him in sickness and in health.   Her family meant the world to her and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Scheduled services are as follows: Recitation of the Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 1813 Oakdale Rd., Modesto, CA..  Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Community Hospice, Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
