Mary Patricia Ross

Mary Patricia (Serra) Ross has gone to heaven to be with the Lord and family. Mary was 87 years young. She was born in Modesto to Margret and Joe Serra on December 13, 1930. She was preceded in death by mother, Margret Serra; father, Joe Serra; husband, Bob Ross; brother, Domenic Serra; sisters, Josephine Petrucci and Flora Cunha.
She was born and raised on a grape ranch in Modesto. She went to Modesto High School and MJC, also received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at UC Berkeley then went into teaching at Modesto High and MJC until retirement. She was an avid snow skier and worked ski patrol at Dodge Ridge for many years. She was a traveler too, visiting over 100 countries in the world. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 5pm-8pm with a rosary beginning at 6:00pm at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 9:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road Modesto, CA. Immediately following the mass will be a burial at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA.
