Margaret was born on October 1, 1924 in Winthrop, California. She was the middle of three children born to Guido and Rina Michelotti. Her family settled in Modesto in 1936.
Margaret graduated from Modesto High School and was employed as a bookkeeper at The Grange Company and later Sullivan Electric in Modesto. She married her husband, Bob Offermann, February 11, 1950. They built a home and raised three daughters on a walnut ranch north of Modesto. After Bob retired, they moved into Modesto.
Margaret was a charter member and past president of the Tiny Tim Chapter of the Children Home Society, a board member of Catholic Charities, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Agatha Guild, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and St. Joseph's Senior Club.
Margaret traveled with her husband Bob and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, knitting, painting and was an avid bridge player.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Michelotti, sister, Eva Jackson, and daughter, Gail Friedrich all of Modesto.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert H. Offermann, daughters Barbara Grant of Turlock and Nancy Marcotte of Los Altos Hills, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A Rosary will be held at 7 pm September 20 at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto and a funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am September 21 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road, Modesto with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
