Lewis Rodney "Rod" Tabor Born on May 15, 1932 in Sutter City, CA to the late Lewis Sr. and Pearl Tabor, passed away on March 23, 2018 in Modesto, CA at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his parents; his three siblings, Doris Harris, Robert Tabor and Ray Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Tabor; his three siblings Sandy (Jerry) Viega and Barbara (Steve) Cowan; Roy Hopkins, his two children Lewis Tabor Jr., and Katherine Baker; his two step sons Richard McCombs and Michael McCombs; his seven grandchildren Jennifer (Shawn) Leyva, Brianna (Jobee) Karnofel, Andrew Wigley, Casey Baker, Andrew McCombs(Ashley), Dylan McCombs and Justin McCombs; and five great-grandchildren.
Lewis Rodney Tabor served our country by enlisting in the United States Navy where he served for four years. Later on he would make a 36 year career as a Psychiatric Technician for the state of California.
In his spare time he enjoyed camping, boating, classic western movies and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed 4-wheeling with the Modesto Four Wheelers Club with many great adventures.
Rod was a kind and gentle man, father, grandfather and great grandfather, but most of all he was a loving and supportive husband. He was a quiet man who loved life. He laughed and loved with great zeal. His devotion to his family and extended family will always be cherished.
