Lewis Wayne Smith

Lewis Wayne Smith, 59, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Modesto. He was born on October 12, 1957 in Waxahachie, TX to Helen J. Armstrong and Verlis Smith Sr. He is preceded in death by his and his brother Verlis Smith Jr. He is survived by both of his parents, his children Da Quan Smith, Verlis Smith III, Trinity Smith, and William Ceasar IV all of Modesto; his siblings Kenneth Smith of Richmond, CA, Gary Smith and Deanna Jones both of Modesto, Derrick Smith of Willow Creek, CA, and Sonja Sample of Milpitas, CA.
Lewis enjoyed spending time with his children, dancing, cooking, and being a maintenance man. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matt. 5:4. Family and friends, we must find comfort in knowing that his pain is no longer and that he peacefully rests.
