Laura Santillan

Laura M. Santillan passed away on December 11, 2018, at the age of 90.  Laura was born on May 10, 1928, to her loving parents Manuel and Herminia Santillan.  Laura was a resident of Ceres for over 60 years and most recently resided in Riverbank, CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Marcos Ignacio Santillan.  She is survived by her children Lillian Christine Santillan of Hemet, CA and Mary Helen Magdalena Santillan Curtis of Ceres, CA; siblings Amelia Frances of Tigard, OR and Manuel J. (Macie) Cagigas of Norwalk, CA; grandchildren JC Curtis of Riverbank, CA, Julia (Robert) Gibson of Modesto, CA and Paul Curtis of Modesto, CA.

Laura enjoyed traveling, sewing and volunteering.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dearly loved her family, the church and her faith. She was a beautiful lady, her family and friends will greatly miss her.

Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Santillan Family.  There will be a Vigil held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 PM, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 PM at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 9:30 AM St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road, Modesto, CA. The committal service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park located at 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson CA. For memorial contributions in honor of Laura, the family has designated Interfaith Ministries 120 Kerr Avenue, Modesto, CA 95354
