Tribute

Kevin Alan KluballJuly 1960-June 2021

Kevin Kluball, 60, of Salida California died tragically in a boating accident while Salmon fishing in the San Francisco Bay Area on June 30, 2021.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly Kluball, son Kevin R. Kluball (Sidney), stepson Nikilas Burns (Charming), brother Bob Kluball (Teri) and sisters Pamela Litzsinger (Gary) and Monica Silva (Art) and numerous loving nieces, nephews and grandchildren.  Kevin survived the loss of his father and mother Jerome and Emily Kluball and stepson Jakob Burns (Amber – surviving).

Kevin served his country in the US Marine Corps, a Kluball family tradition, and was actively involved with his brothers in arms until his death.  After the Marine Corps, Kevin worked in the field of Construction for 30+ years before retiring in late 2018.

Kevin was an avid fisherman, hunter, gun enthusiast, cook, and gardener, but was a family man first.  He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Those who were not blood relatives considered him a mentor and friend who could be trusted and relied upon.  Kevin had a large extended family and even though most are scattered throughout the United States, he often called, wrote, took cross country trips to visit, and gathered every 3rd year at an out of state location to celebrate the 4th of July with all, continuing to make memories that will last for generations to come. All his family both immediate and extended were his priority, always.

He brought people together with his outgoing and boisterous personality. Neighbors were family and he watched over all making sure everyone knew he was available to lend a hand, listen when you needed a friend, and feed you when you were hungry (and even if you were not!).  He treated and considered friends as extended family and never missed an opportunity to engage with or show up for all.  His home was your home always.  Kevin knew there were things in life that money could not buy: character, integrity, morals, trust, respect, love and relationships.  He was able to accomplish the rarity of living in each moment, never missing an opportunity to improve the quality of his life with those things that money cannot buy.  If you knew him and shared in his life, you became a better person just by knowing and loving him.

Kevin left us doing something he loved, and we are grateful for that.  His larger-than-life presence will be sorely missed by many, many people.

Godspeed Kevin.

A Celebration of Kevin’s Life is scheduled for Saturday August 14, 2021, located at 4748 Hammett Rd., Modesto CA 95368.  Time TBD – Relaxed, Casual Dress/Jimmy Buffett style
