Julien Alexander Castañeda

Modesto resident, Julien Alexander Castañeda passed away Friday, March 10th at the age of 31. He was born November 18, 1991 in Hayward to parents, Richard and Lydia Castañeda, and lived most of his life in Stanislaus County. Among other skills, he most recently worked in barbering.

In his free time, Julien enjoyed being outdoors and playing sports, with baseball and softball being his favorites. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, basketball, and snowboarding. He was fearless.

Julien was everything you could want in a son. He is remembered for his big heart and loving, generous personality. He was funny, witty, and always smiling with those he loved. Julien was known to be strong willed and competitive which aided in his ambitions and goals.

Julien is survived by his son, Jayden Ace Worth; his parents, Richard and Lydia Castañeda; grandparents, Olga Marci and John Castañeda; aunts and uncles, Carlos Carrasco, Vincent Carrasco, Benjamin Carrasco, Frances Novoa, and Gina Edwards; family friends, Mark and Carrie Frink, and Bob and Anna Alvarez; girlfriend, Payton Fedrick; his best friends, Bryson Payne, Brian Creek, TJ Stevens, and Michael Cerda, among many others.

Services will be held Thursday, March 23rd at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, in Modesto, with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Acacia Memorial Park, 800 Scenic Drive, in Modesto.
