Jose Rocha

Jose Augusto Rocha, Born on October 19, 1937 in Terceira, Azores; to Jose and Candida Rocha, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Modesto, California.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and two of his siblings; Maria de Castro and Antonio Rocha.

He leaves behind His wife of 55 years, Alzira Rocha. He is also survived by his children, Joe (Betty) Rocha of Modesto, Angela (Steve) Herrera of Turlock, and John (Debbie) Rocha of Ceres; his siblings, Joao Rocha of Canada, Conceicao Rocha and Francisco Rocha, both of Terceira, Azores, and seven grandchildren; Victoria Garcia of Texas, Joseph, Sabrina, Johnathan, Benjamin Rocha all of Modesto and, Nicholas and Emma Rocha, both of Ceres.

Jose was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He was an avid gardener and a skilled handyman.   He was a passionate and talented musician for over 65 years.  Jose had a strong work ethic. He retired from Gallo Glass, after 22 years.  He was generous and giving to friends and family, especially his grandchildren. His love for life was extremely infectious and he will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all those that knew him.
