September 14, 1934 – October 19, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the beloved, Jerry Wayne Johnson. Jerry made heaven his home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the age of 87. Jerry was born in Tamaha, Oklahoma. When Jerry was a young child his family left Oklahoma and moved to Wasco, California. Eventually they moved to Modesto where Jerry met and married the love of his life Myrtle Allison on December 6, 1954. They later built a home in Ceres where they lived and raised their three children. Jerry was a dedicated worker in construction for over 43 years. He served as President of the Local Lather’s Union for several terms. For the majority of his years in construction he worked for Kent’s Lathing. Jerry’s family was his priority, he was dedicated to providing for his wife and children. Jerry was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Jerry is survived by his wife Myrtle of 66 years; his children Sherry Bertolotti (Fulvio), Terry Flanagan (Randall), and Garry Johnson; his sister Rena Bell Foster; grandsons Jared Bertolotti, Bryan Flanagan, Jason Flanagan, Junior Johnson; granddaughters Jamie Bertolotti, Amy Flanagan and six great-grandchildren.
