Janet Christine Bressani

Janet Bressani passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022 in Modesto, California after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Janet was born in Stockton in 1947 to parents Angelo and Ruth Bressani and lived her entire life in the Central Valley.     She graduated from Manteca High School in 1966 and worked for many years at Contel Telephone Company in Manteca and later joined Classic Wines of California in Ceres. 

Janet was a lover of cooking, spending time with family and friends, and being anywhere at the ocean, especially the Carmel coastline.   Besides celebrating holidays, some of her most memorable times were the many family vacations by the ocean, taking long walks along the beach and watching beautiful sunsets.  Janet was also Clint Eastwood’s biggest fan and would always keep a watchful eye out for him when in Carmel. 

Janet will be greatly missed by her brother Bob, his wife Yvonne, nephews Brian and Eric, several great nephews and one great niece.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Franklin and Downs Mortuary, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, beginning with visitation at 3:30, followed by a rosary and chapel service at 5:00.   Committal at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetary will be private.
