James Hubbard

James Hubbard was born in Phenix City, Alabama on August 16, 1947 to Henry and Louise Hubbard. He grew up in Phenix City and graduated from South Girard High School. In 1971, James moved to Oakland, California where he resided until relocating to Modesto, California in 1993.

James worked for Kaiser Medical Center in Oakland for 18 years. After retiring from Kaiser, he continued to work as an independent contractor remodeling and renovating residences until his demise on May 1, 2021

.James came from a large family which included 10 siblings.  He cared for his family very much and enjoyed attending family gatherings. He also enjoyed music festivals.

James is survived by his daughter Venita McCoy Ellis; siblings Bernadine Wright, Linda Hubbard-Junker, Dolores Hubbard, Anne Elizabeth McMullen, Karen Sue Freitas, and Tommy Hubbard as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved him dearly. He will be missed.
