Howard “Kim” Nicholson, born on January 22, 1953 in Modesto, CA., to the late Don and Pat Nicholson, passed away on May 24, 2018 at the age of 65. He leaves behind his loving spouse Lainne Bailey; his two children, Erica Haltom, Amy (Bryan Esrabrook) Nicholson, all of Modesto; his two grandchildren, Kiowa and Dakota, of Modesto; and his niece Grace McGuire of Thayer, MO., He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Pat Nicholson; his brother Shawn Nicholson and his nephew Matthew Nicholson.
Kim made a lot of friends and could never go anywhere without ultimately running into someone he knew. People were drawn to his friendly personally. He worked as a machine operator at Post Foods for 37 years, where he later retired. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where one might find him fishing and hunting.
Kim was a member of the Stockton Sportsman Club, the Old Fisherman’s Club, the California Stripped Bass Association, the Stanislaus Finman’s Club and Escalon Sportsman Club.
