Harley Lloyd Walker passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on December 1st, 2018 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
Harley attended Modesto Christian Academy, Downey High School, and graduated from Alameda High School. He joined the Navy in April 1955 and made this a career for five years. He was part of the CVA 31 crew aboard the Bonhom Richard Aircraft Carrier. He continued his naval duties at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Alameda. Harley also worked for Montgomery Wards in Sales and Management for 37 years. He retired in April of 1997.
In June of 1961, Harley married the love of his life, Susan. Their love and devotion for each other only deepened throughout their 57 years of marriage.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Martha Walker, Sister Delora, nephew Calvin and niece Kim. In addition to his wife, Harley is survived by his loving daughter Laura, son-in-law Brandon, grandson Samuel Walker Cornell, sister Arlene Lininger, nephews Michael, Tom, Dean, Todd, niece Renee and cousin, Chester Brenneise.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 5th from 4:00-7:00pm at Franklin & Downs McHenry Chapel, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 7th at 10:00am at Franklin & Downs McHenry Chapel. Committal Service will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Harley’s honor to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA or a Veteran’s Organization.
