Esther Espino Garcia

Modesto resident, Esther Espino Garcia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7th, with her family by her side. She was born July 30, 1926 to parents, Leopoldo Espino and Maria Lopez in Madera, California; she was one of 14 children.

Esther was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for 50 years and was very charitable to organizations for children and feeding the hungry. She and her husband, Pedro, loved to dance and Esther often stated they were able to dance for 50 years. She enjoyed eating good food, listening to Mexican music, and most of all, spending time with her family; she was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be truly missed.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, her loving husband of 54 years, Pedro H. Garcia, and their children, Catherine Murillo, Robert Garcia, and Arthur Garcia. She is survived by her children, Patricia Garcia, Dolores Lopez, Christine Dominguez, and Steve Garcia; 24 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 29 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jennie Guererro, and many more dear family and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on September 22, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 709 J St, in Modesto. A brief Vigil will be held at the church prior to Committal Services at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 Carrolton Rd, in Escalon.
