Donna Jean Inderbitzen

Donna Jean Inderbitzen peacefully went into the arms of the Lord on Friday, January 5, 2018. Donna Jean Barber was born in Salina, Kansas on December 1, 1930. She spent her younger years in Chamberlain South Dakota and came to Modesto when she was a junior in high school. She attended Modesto High School and graduated in 1948, where she quickly made life-long friends and also sang in the school choir. Donna was very proud that she worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company in Modesto. She met the love of her life Albert Inderbitzen, as many folks did back then, while cruising 10th Street in downtown Modesto. Al and Donna were married on April 29, 1949. Donna loved taking care of her family and her home. She was very involved in the parents club at Shiloh School where her two sons attended. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1990. She is survived by her two sons Terry Inderbitzen, (Nancy)and Daniel Inderbitzen,(Linda) her four grandchildren Todd Inderbitzen, Beth Walling (John Newton), Paul Inderbitzen (Niki) and Steven Inderbitzen (Sarah). Her three great grandchildren, Destiny, Jordan, Dyllan and, soon to be, Lyla Jean Inderbitzen. Donna will always be remembered by her family and friends for her bright smile and infectious laughter.
Visitation will be held at the Franklin and Downs Funeral Home at 1050 McHenry Avenue on Friday, January 12, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 15, at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Cemetery in Hughson.
