Don developed a love of sports from a young age.  As a youth, he played sandlot football, Little League baseball, golf, and tennis.  He went on to play intramural basketball, was on the State Championship tennis team, and lettered in track for running the half mile.  He learned to ski with his eldest 4 children.  Golf however became his passion and he continued to play the rest of his adult life, achieving 7 hole-in-ones.  He and his wife Joan played many years together enjoying the annual golf trip to Hawaii with Del Rio Country Club members and other local clubs.
Don was a very loving and proud father, grandpa, and great grandpa.  He cherished spending time with all his family.  He was a long-term active member   of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
