David Levi Stuart

Born on October 4, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho, to  George and Lizzie Bell Stuart. David was Born again when he gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of fourteen. David went to be with his Lord & Savior, on Saturday January 27th surrounded by his loving and faithful family members. He has been a resident of our community since 1988.

He is Survived by his devoted wife and high school sweetheart Carole Stuart, of 59 years; son, Steven Stuart and his wife Tammy, Napa, CA; daughter Julie McDermott and husband Jerry of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Also survived by his brother Fred Stuart and his wife Connie of CO; brothers-in-law Gary Marshall of AZ, and Kem Marshall and wife Lois of Nampa, ID; along with several nieces and nephews.

David was raised and educated in Nampa, Idaho.  He was committed to higher education and lifelong learning, as a result he earned a B.S. degree, Master’s degree and  a degree in Theology. 

David was a dedicated high-school and college math teacher, pastor, and rural mail carrier. David played baseball in his youth and college days and continued playing all sports with his kids and grandkids. He loved and cherished his family, they meant the world to him. David was an avid reader,and well know for his sense of humor and gentleness.

Franklin and Downs funeral homes is honored to be providing services for the Stuart family, a  Memorial Service and celebration of David’s life will be held at CrossPoint Community Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
