Colleen K Hazy

Colleen Kay Hazy, 53, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2023, in Modesto, CA, in the loving presence of family. Colleen grew up in Purling, NY as well as Chino, CA, graduating from Don Lugo HS in 1987, where she was a talented member of the swim team. She lived in Fallon, NV for about 20 years before moving to Las Vegas in 2003 and marrying her husband Robert in 2006. Colleen and Robert moved to Modesto, CA in 2016. Colleen worked in retail management, and briefly as a certified nurse assistant until her health prevented her from working again.

Colleen was preceded in death by her mother, Gail McIntosh of Fallon, NV.  She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Robert of Modesto, CA; her father Daniel (Carol) of Florence, AZ; daughters Jaina of Modesto, CA and Alana of Anaheim, CA; granddaughter Delanie; her sisters Melissa of Anaheim, CA, Kelly (Mike) of Spring Hill, TN; and her brother Daniel (Angela) of Reno, NV. Colleen was well known for her love to crochet, and a warm generous heart.

A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday 3/22 from 4p-6p at Franklin and Downs Funeral Home in Modesto, CA with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:30p. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 3/23 at 9:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto, CA. Burial will follow immediately after at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Modesto, CA.
