Carleton Allen Washington was born on May 2, 1949, to Harold & Daisy Lee Washington in San Francisco, California. He was the second oldest of four sons. He attended Washington High school & married his first wife of 28 years, Glordelita, in 1967. He moved his family to Palo Alto and began a career at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center as a Radiation Technician, and ultimately became a Senior Technician. During their marriage, they had two beautiful daughters.
He loved fast cars and especially enjoyed driving his 1968 Dodge Charger in his early years. He also enjoyed playing the drums, music, cycling, and Martial Arts Movies, which he enjoyed throughout his life. In the ’80s, Carleton met Norma Sansano the two married, and he became a stepfather to Norma’s two children. In 1992 Carleton & Norma welcomed their daughter Vanessa.
Carleton was a Christian, a Pastor & enjoyed ministering to people of all walks of life. In 2005, He retired from SLAC after 34 years & moved his family to Texas. Where his daughter Vanessa discovered a passion for boxing. He enjoyed watching her train, stood by her side, and cheered her on during her matches. Carleton would often provide boxing equipment to kids in need & offered guidance.
August 28, 2021, Carleton passed away in California and went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord. He was a devoted husband and beloved father. He will be forever missed and loved by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 34yrs, daughters, stepchildren, grandkids, two brothers, niece, nephew, cousins.
