Bettie Jean Teeple “Jeannie” , 73, passed away on January 5, 2021. She truly “Lived an Extraordinary Life”. Born to Joseph Eugene and Betty Pauline Pellegrino in August of 1947, Jean was a born-and-raised native of San Jose, growing up in a very large Italian family that settled and harvested the orchards of San Jose, long before the days of HP and Apple.
Jean met her soulmate, Roy Teeple, during her Senior Year at Blackford HS and after two years of courting and starting Cosmetology School, they were wed on November 26, 1966 at the Stone Church of Willow Glen. After Jean completed her vocational studies, she and Roy decided to start a family that brought Conni, Bill and Joe into the picture. Jean was passionate about family, her faith, her career, cooking, beauty pageants and any crafts where she could use her imagination and artistic nature. She was a Beautician, Salon Owner and a Cosmetology instructor in Saratoga, Willow Glen, Santa Clara and in the Central Valley. After 38 years of marriage, Roy went on to Heaven ahead of her. After his passing, she found great solace in her family, her friendships and new passions such as traveling the country performing audits of cosmetology schools.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Teeple and brother, Dale Pellegrino. She is survived by her brother Michael Pellegrino and her children and their spouses, Conni (Darrin) Janitz, Bill (Cynthia) Teeple and Joseph (Wendie) Teeple, as well as her seven grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
