Beatrice Marie Azevedo

Beatrice Marie Azevedo passed away peacefully on July 27, 2018, at the age of 92. Beatrice was born on July 22, 1926, to the delight of her loving parents William and Mary Vierra, in Modesto, CA.  She grew up and went to school in Turlock, and later married and raised her family in Modesto.   She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Vierra, her husband of 44 years Johnnie Azevedo and her daughter Michelle Baker all of Modesto, CA her brothers Manuel Vierra of Crows Landing, Bill Vierra of Crows Landing, Tony Vierra of Fresno, CA  and sisters Ledia Rocha of Crows Landing, CA and Lena Azevedo of Turlock, CA. She leaves behind her daughter Kathi  Azevedo of Salida, CA and her son Jeff Azevedo of Hudson Oaks, TX, her sisters Frances Broggi of Patterson, CA and brother Joe Vierra of Madera, CA.

Beatrice was a loving wife and mother; she spent her life as a homemaker, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and will always be remembered for her love of family.

Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Azevedo family;  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church located at 1200 Maze Blvd, Modesto, CA. Following the Funeral Mass, there will be a committal service at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery located at 1141 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA. Remembrance contributions can be sent to Saint Jude’s Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
