Albino Franco

Albino Franco, 65, passed away unexpectedly on January 19th 2021, with his devoted wife of 27 years, Margarita Franco, at his side.

Albino was born on February 8th, 1955, to Roman and Carmen Franco in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the fifth of 7 siblings born to the loving couple. 

He was a religious and family oriented man; a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.  He was an outstanding citizen, always proud to support his community. 

Albino graduated from Modesto High School then continued his studies at Modesto Junior College and graduated from California State University of Fresno with a B.A in Art and Education. He returned to Modesto High as a counselor in the Migrant Education Program where he dedicated his life to help countless students from 1979 until 2010. 

During this time, he also volunteered for KMPO Radio Bilingue as a DJ, earning volunteer of the year. After retiring, he continued his devotion to the community by volunteering as an election poll worker for Stanislaus County for 10 years.  No matter how active he was in the community, his family and friends were always a priority when they needed his help. 

He enjoyed listening to Jazz, Salsa and Mariachi music.  His favorite artists included Carlos Santana and Tito Puente which he shared with his grandchildren. His favorite football team was the Raiders.

We will always remember him as a family man who selflessly gave love and wisdom to his family and friends.  His advice and stories will live with us always and his legacy will continue to be carried with each one of us that knew him.
