Abel Hernandez III

Modesto resident, Abel Hernandez III passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30th. He was born May 29, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Abel Hernandez Jr. and Mary Pedregon, one of five children.

Abel III was a loving and caring father. His chill and relaxed nature always put people at ease. He enjoyed exercising, lifting weights, and jeet kune do in his younger years. Abel also liked driving for scenic views, watching movies, television, and football. He was an avid Raiders fan.

Abel III was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Pedregon. He is survived by his loving children, Abel IV, Vanessa Rae, and Isaiah; his father, Abel Jr. (Vera); siblings, Lynna Marie, Sarah, Cynthia, and Elsa, and many more loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave, in Modesto, closing with a balloon release to honor Abel’s memory.
