Marie Delores Best

Marie Delores Best (most commonly known as Delores), passed away on April 8, 2024. She was 87 years old. She lived in Modesto, CA and is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Best. She was born on April 23, 1936, in Crystal City, TX, daughter of the late Pedro A. Trevino and Maria L. Toves. Delores and Charles lived in Beattyville, KY for many years. They returned to California more than 20 years ago to be closer to family. 

Delores loved to crotchet. She would enter items at the County Fair and won many blue ribbons for her beautiful, handmade pieces. She also enjoyed exploring thrift stores, gardening and spending time with loved ones. She liked to host large holiday gatherings. Everyone was always welcome and she never sent anyone home empty-handed. She was a very good cook, and her baked goods were beyond delicious. 

Delores is survived by her children: Debra Martinez and her husband, Nicholas, along with their children Karisma Sigala, Andrew Sigala, Nikki Martinez, and their grandchildren Isaac and Landon; Leslie Rozen, along with her children Natalie Macdonald, Johnathon Shrauger, Jason Shrauger, and her grandchildren Sarah, Jonathan, Andrew, Cayden, Aliyah and Zade; Christopher Rozen; and grandson Michael Rozen. She was preceded in death by her children Steven Rozen and Brenzitt Rozen. She is also survived by her step children Michael Best, along with his children Steven and Amy; David Best along with his daughter Jessika, her husband Marco, and his grandchildren Jackson and Maverick; and Charles Best and his wife Anita. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Trevino, Rosie Ancheta and Diana Trevino, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many more who lovingly considered her family.
