Johnny L Alves

Johnny Louie Alves passed away on July 10, 2017 in Modesto CA at the age of 98. Johnny was born on July 6, 1919 in Hanford, CA to John and Emily Alves. Johnny is preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Evelyn Alves. Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Marian Alves; sister, Emily Perry; daughters, Eileen (Robert) Caviglia, Debbie Freitas; grandchildren, Stephanie Caviglia, Adrienne Conrad, Adam Freitas, Ross Freitas, Chad Freitas, Alex Freitas along with 5 great-grandchildren.
Johnny served honorably in the US Army. He loved his family, his Portuguese heritage, traveling and socializing with many friends and family. Johnny was also a member of VFW, retired teamsters, SIRS branch 144 and the Cabrillo Club.
