Danny Edwin Blue

Dan Blue, born November 25, 1942 to the late Edwin and Bernice Blue, in Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017. He will be missed by his loving wife of 52 years Lory (Lipsiea) Blue; children Michele (Steve) Fulkerson of Virginia, Kimberly Blue of Modesto, and David Blue (Tanja) of Idaho; siblings Marilyn Heimark of Minnesota, and Allen Blue of Iowa; grandchildren Kameron Blue of Modesto, Cade Fulkerson of Virginia, and Tanner Rankin of Idaho. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Roger Blue.
Dan was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He and Lory were active members of Ceres Twisters Square Dance Club for many years and enjoyed traveling in their RV. He enjoyed the game of golf and cheering on his favorite sports teams. In recent years he could often be found at his workbench in the garage listening to the "oldies." Dan worked as a computer programmer/analyst for various companies for over 40 years, retiring from Sutter Gould in 2007. He will be remembered by family and friends as a kind and gentle man.
Services for Dan are scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00am at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home's McHenry Chapel located at 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA.
