Arlene Maestas

Arlene M. Maestas passed away the evening of April 10, 2024, surrounded by 2 of her granddaughters. She was 94. Arlene was the widow of Tony R. Maestas and the mother of Joe and Tony (Bimbo). She was the grandma to Joseph, Kris, Tori, Beth and Paul. She was born in Livingston to Antonio and Juanita Macias on December 3, 1929. Livingston is where she grew up and went to school and learned how to be a hard worker. She was the middle child of 7. She had 6 brothers, 3 older Larry, Roger and Gibby and 3 younger Bonnie, Andrew and Antonio Jr. She married the love of her life when she was 19 and Tony was 18 on August 16, 1948, 76 years! They bought their first home in Modesto and settled in rural Ceres, CA. She loved to travel with her husband all over the western united states in their RV and being with her grandchildren. She retired from John Ingles after 41 years. Her hobbies included singing, sewing, shopping, crocheting, getting her hair done every week, listening to records on her hi-fi stereo and cooking big Mexican dinners for her family and friends. Arlene loved her family and made cherished memories that will forever be in the hearts of those who played on her little farm, enjoyed her delicious cooking or just hung out at one of her holiday parties. Her conversations, her smile, her laugh will be missed. She took Gods hand when she heard him call, she saw her angels come for her, they took her to heaven to be free. Rest easy knowing she is surrounded by all those she loved that went before her.
